Virtual Afternoon of Jazz

Scholarship Fundraiser

The Black Catholic Ministry Commission (BCMC) within the Diocese of Camden, N.J., is a duly authorized faith-based organization. For over 20 years, our mission has been to create awareness of the significant historical contributions of Catholics of African descent from across the diaspora to the present-day Catholic Church in America. With your past tax-deductible help and support, the BCMC has been able to provide scholarships to aspiring 8th grade students to help families defray the cost of a Catholic school education. However, we must ask for your help in a different way this year. As you know, the pandemic environment forced us to cancel the April 2020 Afternoon of Jazz (AOJ), and were unable to reschedule it for another date last year. This year, it is our hope to have you join us for our planned Virtual Afternoon of Jazz (VAOJ), as a way to safely provide the entertainment portion of our annual event. Entertainment will be provided by the popular ensemble, To The Max Jazz Project.
Date: Sunday, April 25, 2021 Time: 4:00 – 6:00PM
It is our hope that proceeds from the VAOJ will enable us to award as many scholarships as possible for the upcoming 2021-2022 academic year. We also hope to resume our regular in-person AOJ event in 2022 at a date to be announced soon. For now, the COVID environment forces us to find new ways to accomplish the much-needed fundraising efforts.
Can we count on your continued support?
Because you care, because you give, the Black Catholic Ministry can change lives and help create brighter futures for our Black Catholic students. Be as generous as you can.
